Diary of a Fat Boy Skinny Week 1 Results - The Easiest and Hardest part All at once

Now when making a lifestyle change (really exercising and dieting but we 'diet' all wrong) the beginning is one of the hardest parts. It's always hard to start to change. Once something becomes a routine it is infinitely easier (not that we want to get into learnt behavior and such). However, the beginning of a 'weight loss campaign' is also the easiest time to lose weight. The first week (or two sometimes) you usually shed the most weight, the fastest, with the least amount of true effort. People need to remember, really being in shape is just discipline and work.

This week's loser is the GM of the Boston Celtics, Danny Ainge.

The Boston Celtics won the NBA Championship five years ago. The following year, a devasting injury to Kevin Garnett derailed their hopes of winning back to back NBA Championships. Danny was busy the following summer, signing free agents Marquis Daniels (who, believe me, would have won his share of bum of the weeks back then) and Rasheed Wallace. They fell short in the Finals, but overall Celtic fans felt they were in good hands with Danny running things. The past few years have planted seeds of doubt in that regard.

The Pats second-best cornerback is facing up to six years in jail after being convicted on a felony assault of a police officer (for punching the cop in the jaw). This is a huge blow to the Pats secondary, as they will likely lose Aqib Talib as well via free agency. The time doesn't fit the crime in this instance. But whay can you do? Diary of a Fat Boy Skinny (yeah I stole your name of it) - Losing 30 lbs in 60 days...

For those of you that know me, you probably know I'm a little out of shape recently (we'll define 'out of shape' and 'recently' as loosely as possible). Now I've always been able to hold weight decently well (especially for a pushing 5'9" borderline midget). But, the past year or so with injuries and lack of working out, adding in father time to boot and you have me at almost 240 lbs (239.2), and definitely in need of some conditioning. I still have a lot of muscle mass, and like my zodiac sign would indicate I'm strong like a bull....but still something needs (needed) to be done.
